The launch of the UKs first on line retail media planning site targeting 20m weekly shoppers
 

In another sign of the growth in retail media, October sees the launch of a new retail media planning web site for use by media agencies and brands. abc media group have developed the system that includes several major retailers and over 30 media channels. At launch, media opportunities will cover over 15,000 retail outlets and over 20m weekly shoppers. Retailers will include The Co-operative, Spar, WH Smith, Wine Cellar, Pharmacy Channel and Martin McColl. Further retailers will be added over the coming months.

The site, called PlanMyMedia.com allows planning by demographics, by region or by retailers. Channels include radio, point of sale, digital screens, direct mail and on-line media. Indicative channel effects can also be calculated. These include awareness, education and activation. PlanMyMedia.com builds your campaign and even calculates a potential ROI.

PlanMyMedia.com is the latest development in the growing retail media market and follows the July launch of The Co-operative Media Centre. Retail Media is becoming a credible, measurable alternative to the more mainstream media choices. abc media expect media bookings to double over the next 12 months.
