It’s interesting to see that retail media is taking a lead in promoting both environmental performance and ethical content.
The new Co-operative media Centre launched in July offers a discount of up to 25% on ethical campaigns that meet their ethical and environmental standards. Each proposal is considered by The Co-operative Group's social and ethical department, who will assess the campaign against their own ethical and environmental credentials.
These campaigns can be booked on line at www.co-operative.coop/media where a request form is completed alongside details of the campaign.
POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International) has also launched an initiative to promote environmental best practices within the retail marketing industry. Aimed at retailers, brands and suppliers it will encourage improved environmental performance in production, distribution and re-cycling.
